79cda38cff openssl rehash: add check for OPENSSL_strdup
As the potential failure of the memory allocation,
it should be better to check the return value of
OPENSSL_strdup() and return error if fails.
Also, we need to restore the 'ep' to be NULL if fails.

Better documentation

Move some ASN1 struct typedefs to types.h

Update ParseC to handle this. Most of all, ParseC needed to be more
consistent. The handlers are "recursive", in so far that they are called
again and again until they terminate, which depends entirely on what the
"massager" returns. There's a comment at the beginning of ParseC that
explains how that works. {Richard Levtte}

362ff3c397 openssl rehash: use libcrypto variables for default dir
X509_get_default_cert_dir_env() returns the default environment
variable to check for certificate directories.

Use these instead of hard coding our own values, and thereby be more
integrated with the rest of OpenSSL.

dab2cd68e7 apps: Don't include progs.h in apps.h
Everything in apps includes apps.h, because that one declares apps
internal library routines. However, progs.h doesn't declare library
routines, but rather the main commands and their options, and there's
no reason why the library modules should include it.

So, remove the inclusion of progs.h from apps.h and add that inclusion
in all command source files.

2ac915f162 In apps/rehash.c, decorate the inclusion of internal/o_dir.h for VMS
The library files are built with symbol names as is, while the
application is built with the default uppercase-all-symbols mode.
That's fine for public APIs, because we have __DECC_INCLUDE_PROLOGUE.H
and __DECC_INCLUDE_EPILOGUE.H automatically telling the compiler how
to treat the public header files. However, we don't have the same
setup for internal library APIs, since they are usually only used by
the libraries.

Because apps/rehash.c uses a library internal header file, we have to
surround that inclusion with the same kind of pragmas found in
__DECC_INCLUDE_PROLOGUE.H and __DECC_INCLUDE_EPILOGUE.H, or we get
unresolved symbols when building no-shared.

The generation number is ';nnn' at the end of the file name fetched

doesn't expect an additional generation number, the easiest is to
massage the received file name early by simply removing the generation
number.
