For now, hardware floating point conversions may or may not raise SIGFPE depending on the hardware, operating system, etc. Software conversions never raise SIGFPE and use +Inf or -Inf for overflow. ./test/dtypes.c Catches SIGFPE and causes the test to be skipped.
