0324f05566 [svn-r22915] Description:
Bring Coverity changes back to trunk:

r20399:
Change parse_command_line to free hand structure on error and only "leave()" at end of main.

r20400:
Purpose: Fix coverity issue 592

Description: Added void cast to call to H5F_sfile_assert_num() in
H5F_term)interface(). There is no need to check the return value of this
function in general, and there would be nothing to do even if it did fail.

r20401:
Added free(src_sizes) and free(src_offset). --gh

7610dd20af [svn-r20529] Purpose: Add testing for bug 1864
Description:
Added internal tesitng routines to traverse a file and verify that symbol table
information is *always* cached, whenever possible. Added this check to the end
of many tests to check all the test files, right before the call to h5_cleanup.

ffd0fddad2 [svn-r16609] Bug fix (#1161): When a family file created with v1.6 library is opened and closed with
v1.8 library, v1.8 library writes the driver info block in the superblock. But v1.6
doesn't write it. This caused the data after the superblock to be overwritten. The
solution is to use a flag to indicate when the original file doesn't have the driver
info, v1.8 library doesn't write it either.

Tested on jam. I have some trouble to access smirom and linew using h5committest.

Correct a minor error in file free space allocation which was affecting

which _really_ can't work with particular VFDs are skipped during a

e980307ed9 [svn-r15451] Purpose: Fix various problems that were occurring when using mounted files.
Description:
Moved mount table from top file structure to shared file structure. Moved
parent out of mount table and back into top file structure. Mounted files can
now be accessed from any handle of the parent file. Changes to how files are
closed. Stricter cycle checking on mounted files. Removed unused function
H5F_has_mount().

Tested:

changes here are specific to the trunk, but I will keep an eye on the daily

516c63299f [svn-r15367] Description:
Add check to avoid mounting the a file on a group twice, then the mounts
are done on the same HDF5 file, but opened with separate H5Fopen calls.

Also add new 'mounted' flag to the H5G_info_t struct, queried with the
H5Gget_info() API call, to allow applications to detect and avoid this
situation.

This probably fixes Bz#1070 also, I'll check with Dan Anov (who reported
a different sort of behavior, but seems to have the same underlying problem).

2f36ea99d4 [svn-r14284] Description:
Add H5Lvisit_by_name() API routine to library.

Eliminated all (five!) other group traversal routines and changed them
all to use the new API routine.

	Cleaned up output of h5ls & h5stat:
		- Issue error when requesting recursive traversal of a file
with the "group info" flag, but no group given
		- Print info about root group in all(?) appropriate situations
		- Don't print "verbose" information about root group until the
root group is in the list of objects to display
(mostly because h5ls & h5stat had a different twist on traversing the
groups in a file that the other utilities)

Add the H5Pset_latest_format() flag for FAPLs, to choose to use the newest
file format options (including "dense" link storage in groups)

Add the H5Pset_track_creation_order() flag for GCPLs, to enable creation
order tracking in groups (although no index on creation order yet).

Remove --enable-group-revision configure flag, as file format issues are
now handled in a backwardly/forwardly compatible way.

Clean up lots of compiler warnings and other minor formatting issues.

3e755623cb [svn-r12528] Added User-Defined links to the library.
Users can create external links using H5L_create_external(). These links
point to an object in another HDF5 file. Users can alter the behavior of
external links or create new kinds of links by registering callbacks
using the H5L interface.

Added tests, tools support, etc.

Also a number of other, minor changes have been made (some restructuring of
the H5L interface, for instance).

Additional documentation and examples are forthcoming.

beb04ae817 [svn-r12519] Fixed "make check-vfd"
"make check-vfd" will now run all tests in the test directory with different
file drivers (at least, all of those tests that use the testing framework's
FAPL). Tests that fail will be skipped.

This is not a perfect fix, but is better than nothing.

Along with this change, check-vfd should be added to the Daily Tests.

801ca2f9cb [svn-r12452] Purpose:
Feature

Description:
Revised Link APIs.

Solution:
New link APIs use H5L*
H5*create_expand do not create links to the objects created; this must
be done manually with H5Llink.
Added APIs to link an object given its ID (H5Llink), to copy links (H5Lcopy),
and changed creation APIs (H5Lcreate_hard and H5Lcreate_soft) and query
API (H5Lget_linkinfo instead of H5Gget_objinfo).
All old APIs are still supported in H5Gdeprec.c .

WARNING!!!! WARNING!!!! WARNING!!!! WARNING!!!! WARNING!!!! WARNING!!!!

Solution:
There's too many changes to really describe them all, but some of them
include:
    - Stop abusing the H5G_entry_t structure and split it into two separate
structures for non-symbol table node use within the library: H5O_loc_t
for object locations in a file and H5G_name_t to store the path to
an opened object. H5G_entry_t is now only used for storing symbol
        table entries on disk.

    - Retire H5G_namei() in favor of a more general mechanism for traversing
group paths and issuing callbacks on objects located. This gets us out
of the business of hacking H5G_namei() for new features, generally.

    - Revised H5O* routines to take a H5O_loc_t instead of H5G_entry_t

    - Lots more...
