I used these shell commands:
../glibc/scripts/update-copyrights $PWD/../gnulib/build-aux/update-copyright
(cd ../glibc && git commit -am"[this commit message]")
and then ignored the output, which consisted lines saying "FOO: warning:
copyright statement not found" for each of 6694 files FOO.
I then removed trailing white space from benchtests/bench-pthread-locks.c
and iconvdata/tst-iconv-big5-hkscs-to-2ucs4.c, to work around this
diagnostic from Savannah:
remote: *** pre-commit check failed ...
remote: *** error: lines with trailing whitespace found
remote: error: hook declined to update refs/heads/master
Now __thread_gscope_wait (the function behind THREAD_GSCOPE_WAIT,
formerly __wait_lookup_done) can be implemented directly in ld.so,
eliminating the unprotected GL (dl_wait_lookup_done) function
pointer.

Since RISC-V stores the thread pointer in a general register libthread_db
can just ask the debugger for the register contents instead of trying to
call ps_get_thread_area. This enables thread debugging in gdb.
* sysdeps/riscv/nptl/tls.h (DB_THREAD_SELF): Use REGISTER instead
of CONST_THREAD_AREA.
This patch implements TLS support for RISC-V. We support all four
standard TLS addressing modes (LE, IE, LD, and GD) when running on
Linux via NPTL. There is a draft psABI document that defines our TLS
ABI here
