* cplus-dem.c (standard_symbol_characters): Renamed from
standard_symbol_alphabet. No longer modify TABLE.
(hp_symbol_characters): Renamed from hp_symbol_alphabet. No longer
modify TABLE.
(main): Corresponding changes. Use strchr to determine if a
character is valid.
