I believe this was fixed by the 13 Sep 89 change to print_frame_info.
Also, modern versions of ar like BSD 4.4 or SVR4 don't have this bug.

It's not really helpful; just use pieces of it where appropriate.
Add more Texinfo formatting directives (@samp, etc.).
Use @deffn to define stab types.
Eliminate some wordiness. Break up some nodes.
Add an (alphabetized) index of symbol types.
