Adds two new external authors to etc/update-copyright.py to cover
bfd/ax_tls.m4, and adds gprofng to dirs handled automatically, then
updates copyright messages as follows:
1) Update cgen/utils.scm emitted copyrights.
2) Run "etc/update-copyright.py --this-year" with an extra external
author I haven't committed, 'Kalray SA.', to cover gas testsuite
files (which should have their copyright message removed).
3) Build with --enable-maintainer-mode --enable-cgen-maint=yes.
4) Check out */po/*.pot which we don't update frequently.
get_stab_string_offset currently creates the stabstr section if not
already present, in the process keeping a reference to the malloc'd
section name string. Really, the name belongs in bfd_alloc'd memory
or some obstack so that it doesn't show as a memory leak on exit.
s_stab_generic at least does allocate the name for the stab section on
an obstack, but doesn't tidy that as well as it could. Return paths
after issuing a warning don't release the memory, nor the memory for
the "string" copy.
This patch fixes these problems. s_stab_generic is rearranged so that
creation of the sections occurs earlier, before any potential uses of
the note obstack during expression parsing. That makes it possible to
always free the section name strings unless used to create new
sections. I've also avoided get_absolute_expression_and_terminator
as I see that function might skip over end-of-line, and lack of a
--input_line_pointer might have caused the following source line to be
ignored. (Other uses of this function in gas are OK.)

The newer update-copyright.py fixes file encoding too, removing cr/lf

embedded cr in binutils/testsuite/binutils-all/ar.exp string match.
do_repeat_with_expander() already deals with the "no expander" case
quite fine, so there's really little point having two functions. What it
lacks compared with do_repeat() is a call to sb_build(), which can
simply be moved (and the then redundant sb_new() be avoided). Along with
this moving also flip if the main if()'s condition such that the "no
expander" case is handled first.
These were used originally to represent "# <line> <file>" constructs
inserted by (typically) compilers when pre-processing. Quite some time
ago they were replaced by .linefile though. Since the original
directives were never documented, we ought to be able to remove support
for them. As a result in a number of case function parameter aren't used
anymore and can hence be dropped.
The result of running etc/update-copyright.py --this-year, fixing all
the files whose mode is changed by the script, plus a build with
--enable-maintainer-mode --enable-cgen-maint=yes, then checking
out */po/*.pot which we don't update frequently.
The copy of cgen was with commit d1dd5fcc38ead reverted as that commit
breaks building of bfp opcodes files.

This removes ineffectual and wrong code caching section names in
gas/stabs.c. Code like
seg = subseg_new (name, 0);
...
if (seg->name == name)
seg->name = xstrdup (name);
with the idea of being able to unconditionally free "name" later no
longer works. "name" is referenced by the section hash table as well
as in the section->name field. It would be possible to use
"bfd_rename_section (stdoutput, seg, xstrdup (name))", but instead I
opted for a fairly straight-forward approach of adding extra
parameters to two functions to indicate section name strings should be
freed if possible.

Implement the '.nop SIZE[, CONTROL]' assembler directive, which emits
SIZE bytes filled with no-op instructions. SIZE is absolute expression.
The optional CONTROL byte controls how no-op instructions should be
generated. If the comma and @var{control} are omitted, CONTROL is
assumed to be zero.
For Intel 80386 and AMD x86-64 targets, CONTROL byte specifies the size
limit of a single no-op instruction. The valid values of CONTROL byte
are between 0 and 8 for 16-bit mode, between 0 and 10 for 32-bit mode,
between 0 and 11 for 64-bit mode. When 0 is used, the no-op size limit
is set to the maximum supported size.
2 new relax states, rs_space_nop and rs_fill_nop, are added to enum
_relax_state, which are similar to rs_space and rs_fill, respectively,
but they fill with no-op instructions, instead of a single byte. A
target backend must override the default md_generate_nops to generate
proper no-op instructions. Otherwise, an error of unimplemented .nop
directive will be issued whenever .nop directive is used.

When runtime patching code (like e.g. done by the Linux kernel) there
may be cases where the set of stack frame alterations differs between
unpatched and patched code. Consequently the corresponding unwind data
needs patching too. Locating the right places within an FDE, however,
is rather cumbersome without a way to insert labels in the resulting
section. Hence this patch introduces a new directive, .cfi_label. Note
that with the way CFI data gets emitted currently (at the end of the
assembly process) this can't support local FB- and dollar-labels.
