While reviewing changes generated by spellcheck.sh for directory sim, I
noticed two more misspellings:
...
arrithemetic->arithmetic
electricaly->electrically
...
Add them to common-misspellings.txt, and fix them in directory sim.
Tested by rebuilding on x86_64-linux.

The common/ code has macros with the same name but different behavior:
it's for declaring integer constants as 64-bit, not for casting them.
Rename ppc's local variant since it's only used in this file in order
to avoid conflicts.
These are almost entirely unused. For the very few places using them,
replace with explicit signed types. This matches what was done in the
common sim code.
