Add a helper function to trad_frame to support register cache maps. Currently, signal frame handlers require explicitly coded calls to trad_frame_set_reg_addr() to describe the location of saved registers within a signal frame. This change permits the regcache_map_entry arrays used with regcache::supply_regset and regcache::collect_regset to be used to describe a block of saved registers given an initial address for the register block. Some systems use the same layout for registers in core dump notes, native register sets with ptrace(), and the register contexts saved in signal frames. On these systems, a single register map can now be used to describe the layout of registers in all three places. If a register map entry's size does not match the native size of a register, try to match the semantics used by regcache::transfer_regset. If a register slot is too large, assume that the register's value is stored in the first N bytes and ignore the remaning bytes. If the register slot is smaller than the register, assume the slot holds the low N bytes of the register's value. Read these low N bytes from the target and zero-extend them to generate a register value. [AArch64] SVE/FPSIMD fixup for big endian The FPSIMD dump in signal frames and ptrace FPSIMD dump in the SVE context structure follows the target endianness, whereas the SVE dumps are endianness-independent (LE). Therefore, when the system is in BE mode, we need to reverse the bytes for the FPSIMD data. Given the V registers are larger than 64-bit, I've added a way for value bytes to be set, as opposed to passing a 64-bit fixed quantity. This fits nicely with the unwinding *_got_bytes function and makes the trad-frame more flexible and capable of saving larger registers. Refactor struct trad_frame_saved_regs The following patch drops the overloading going on with the trad_frame_saved_reg struct and defines a new struct with a KIND enum and a union of different fields. Those cases may be better supported by a new enum entry. I have not addressed those cases in this patch to prevent unwanted breakage, given I have no way to test some of the targets. But it would be nice to clean those up eventually. The change to frame-unwind.* is to constify the parameter being passed to the unwinding functions, given we now accept a "const gdb_byte *" for value bytes. trad-frame cleanups With the new member functions for struct trad_frame_saved_reg, there is no need to invoke some of the set/get functions anymore. This patch removes those and adjusts all callers. Even though the most natural initial state of a saved register value is UNKNOWN, there are target backends relying on the previous initial state of REALREG set to a register's own number. I noticed this in at least a couple targets: aarch64 and riscv. Because of that, I decided to keep the reset function that sets the set of register values to REALREG. I can't exercise all the targets to make sure the initial state change won't break things, hence why it is risky to change the default. trad-frame cleanups With the new member functions for struct trad_frame_saved_reg, there is no need to invoke some of the set/get functions anymore. This patch removes those and adjusts all callers. Even though the most natural initial state of a saved register value is UNKNOWN, there are target backends relying on the previous initial state of REALREG set to a register's own number. I noticed this in at least a couple targets: aarch64 and riscv. Because of that, I decided to keep the reset function that sets the set of register values to REALREG. I can't exercise all the targets to make sure the initial state change won't break things, hence why it is risky to change the default. trad-frame cleanups With the new member functions for struct trad_frame_saved_reg, there is no need to invoke some of the set/get functions anymore. This patch removes those and adjusts all callers. Even though the most natural initial state of a saved register value is UNKNOWN, there are target backends relying on the previous initial state of REALREG set to a register's own number. I noticed this in at least a couple targets: aarch64 and riscv. Because of that, I decided to keep the reset function that sets the set of register values to REALREG. I can't exercise all the targets to make sure the initial state change won't break things, hence why it is risky to change the default.
