Eric Blake b6386a5ae7 * m4/m4.m4 (AC_PROG_GNU_M4): Reject M4 1.4 through 1.4.4 as
broken.
* configure.ac: Update error message.
* NEWS: Note that M4 1.4.5 or later is now a hard dependency.
